There’s a new trend in the fashion industry. The way it was first presented to me made it seem practically old-fashioned to be against it. As a young male model there was no room for disagreement. That would have come across as stubborn and close-minded. If I wanted to keep getting gigs, then I had to go with the consensus. I’m talking about crossdressing. Male models wearing female fashion, and vice versa. It had become one of those trends that makes the rest of the world think of the fashion industry as rather kooky. Why would a man be able to model women’s clothes better than an actual woman? I didn’t want to seem stubborn. A reputation of being a diva can doom a young model’s career. So, yes, I openly allowed for it to happen.
