Weddings on the island are similar to that of the traditional wedding of the west. However, there are quite a few differences. The first difference is the Attire of the wedding party, with boi’s in a variety of dresses and heels and women in bold 3 piece suits. The biggest change in attire meanwhile is that of the groom who does not wear a bridal gown but more commonly white bridal Lingerie. For the purpose of a quick and easy transition to the activities taken place after the guests have gone home. However, that is not the only difference between Sissy Island and traditional western weddings. It is common to find a wedding where once whoever has given the vows announces “You may now kiss the Groom.” Many couples do more than a closed mouth kiss, Some opt for the simple open moutlh and grope, while others may direct their hands to the parts below.
